Hafren Dyfrdwy bills remain the lowest in Wales and the third lowest in the UK

A Hafren Dyfrdwy spokesperson said: “Our bills remain the lowest in Wales and the third lowest in the UK, £25 below the national average for water and waste services and £124 lower than the highest water and waste bill in England and Wales. We’re also delivering our biggest-ever investment for Powys, Wrexham and surrounding areas, with £266 million being invested up to 2030 in the projects customers value most.

“We recognise any bill increase can be worrying. That’s why we offer extensive financial support through WaterSure, WaterSure Plus and Here2Help, and signpost further assistance in Powys and Wrexham via our Better Off Calculator and Community Connectors, ensuring customers can access the help they need.”
 

Additional information

  • HD’s bill is the third lowest in Wales and England for water and waste services
  • HD’s bill is £48 cheaper than Dwr Cymru
  • The average bill for 2026/27 will be around £635 per year, which equates to £52.92 a month or £1.74 per day (this is an average, and individual bills will differ)
  • It is £25 below the average of £660 for water and waste companies, and £124 lower than the highest water and waste bill in England and Wales
