About us

Hafren Dyfrdwy also means Severn Dee, the coming together of Dee Valley Water and Severn Trent to form a new water service for our customers in Wales.

We're committed to keeping bills low and providing fresh water to you, for generations to come.

Our region

Formed in 2018, Hafren Dyfrdwy — which means Severn Dee — serves customers in northeast and mid-Wales.

We serve 87,000 water and 22,000 waste customers in Powys, Wrexham, and parts of Flintshire, Denbighshire and Montgomeryshire.

We look after 2,650km of water pipes and 500km of sewers, and own and operate 100 water pumping stations and 88 sewage pumping stations, together with five water treatment works and 50 sewage treatment works.

We relentlessly focus on performance and are committed to improving service levels for our customers, improving the natural environment, and helping those who need it most.

Wonderful on tap

We think water’s wonderful. It plays a critical role in all our lives. It’s the shower that wakes us up, the hot bath that relaxes us before bed. We cook with it… grow gardens with it… have fun with it. Oh yes, and it keeps us alive!

Our communities

Whether it’s supporting local businesses, offering a great day out at our reservoir sites or investing in the young people in our region, we've an important role to play.

The future's fluid

If you’re passionate about solving some of the world’s biggest challenges and you have enthusiasm, curiosity and intellect, we want to hear from you.
